Process to install the ROM on your device
Download MiFlash tool for Windows. Install it on your PC.
Download and install the latest ADB and fastboot drivers.
Now get ready we are going to flash the ROM by following the instructions below!
Step 1: Reboot your phone into Download mode, to do so, power off your device completely and then press and hold the Power + Volume Down buttons together for 5 seconds.
Step 2: Now its the time to connect your device to the computer using the working USB cable.
Step 3: Download the Fastboot ROM .tgz file you downloaded above and extract it. Remember the address of extracted folder as you will need to paste the address into MiFlash Tool later.
Step 4: Now click on the MiFlash Tool.exe to run the tool and paste earlier copied address of the file in the address bar. Or browse to the file destination.
Step 5: Click on “Refresh” within MiFlash and the app should automatically recognize your device.
Step 6: Click Run to start the installation process.

You can watch the progress bar within MiFlash tool will turn green, which indicates that the ROM was successfully installed. Once the installation is completed just it will reboot your device automatically but this time with latest firmware. Hurrah!
