
It’s been a few months since Google started seeding it’s Pixel units with the latest Android P Developer Preview updates. It’s the first time other manufacturers are joining the Android P beta party too, OnePlus is among those lucky OEMs which is also seeding Android P beta updates for it’s latest flagship OnePlus 6. Earlier today, OnePlus rolled out OxygenOS 5.1.9 for OnePlus 6 with July patch and camera improvements, now the OnePlus 6 units registered with Beta program are receiving a new Android P Beta as Developer Preview 3.
The new update brings July 2018 security patch along under the hood bug fixes to achieve stability and some OnePlus specific improvements. Steps to manually install Android P beta DP3 OTA on OnePlus 6
Download Android P DP3 beta ROM for OnePlus 6: Link
Move the downloaded firmware.zip on the root folder of the phone’s internal storage.
Navigate to Settings > System Update > Settings > Local upgrade > choose the firmware zip
Let the OTA install on your device.
Once done with the installation process, wipe cache from recovery.
