At the moment while we are writing this post, the security update for Moto G6 Plus is live for the users in Brazil, and if you are among them then You’ll be getting the OTA right on your device anytime soon. The update is carrying build OPW27.113-45 and if you catch it knocking on your device through OTA, don’t think just hit download and then install to flash it right away. One more thing let us tell you, don’t expect anything more from this update as it will never increment the OS from Android 8.0 Oreo to Android 8.1, however it should be.

Some precautions before you start the update:

Charge your phone with up to 60% of juice, so that if the update takes a while to install it shouldn’t shut down itself because it is harmful and can results in brick (rear cases).

Stay tuned!
