Samsung Resumes Oreo Roll Out For Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge

Finally after a week, Korean tech giant resumes the halted convoy of Oreo update for Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. Just three weeks back Samsung released it’s Official Oreo update for S7 G930F and S7 Edge G935F in the UK only, the reason for the limited roll out was that the company could check the Oreo update in a specific region before a full fledged roll out just like a soak test update. As the roll out begin different users who installed the update on their devices were reporting random reboots issue after upgrading to Oreo.

Samsung considered the negative reports immediately and decided to halt the roll out for the same region as it looks into the matter. Impatient users were eagerly waiting for Samsung to make their next announcement of Oreo release. Finally it seems the issue is fixed now and as reported by SamMobile the Oreo roll out begins again. This time the update is released as build G930FXXU2ERE8 for S7 and build G935FXXU2ERE8 rolling out towards S7 Edge owners. The OTA has already landed in the region as we speak, head to Settings > About Phone > System update.

Stay with us we’ll soon post complete tutorials for manual firmware installation via Odin Tool and Kies as well. The safest and the easiest way to update your phone on latest firmware is OTA. Remember OTA update method is always recommended but it needs a stock un-rooted device to land, because rooted device is not safe anymore.

Update May 30, 2018

Samsung Sweden also started rolling out Oreo update for Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. The build number remains the same because it’s the same update that previously rolled out for devices in UK and now it lands in Sweden.
