Chinese manufacturer OnePlus is well known for releasing timely system updates for it’s devices. OnePlus 6T units on T-Mobile carrier are now receiving a new system update from OnePlus, the update arrives as build A6013_34_181228. Carrier bonded devices are often notorious for receiving updates pretty late however teaming up with T-Mobile haven’t effected the pace of OS updates release. The new system update is based on Android Pie of course but brings network fixes with numerous under the hood improvements and bug fixes to ensure stability in the OS.
A6013_34_181228 firmware details:
Device: OnePlus 6T
OS build: A6013_34_181228
Android version: Android 9 Pie
Status: OTA is live

The new update claims to fix the network related issues which happened due to roaming not supported by various carriers. Multiple users have got the update on their device and reported that the system updates weighs a little more than 1.5 GB so we can expect it has much to do with the fixing stuff.
The roll out happened 2 days ago, so don’t expect the update will hit all devices simultaneously. Considering the regional delays the update will be available in phases which can take up to weeks. Even though there is no harm in trying, just head to Settings > About device > System updates. If the update is available you will be notified along with the proper change log.
