Moto G6 Plus has started getting the June 2018 security patch from Motorola under Lenovo. Back in May Moto G6 Plus got updated to April security patch since then this is the second OTA that directly brings June 2018 security update for the device. The update is based on Android 8.0 Oreo and labeled with build number OPWS27.113-45-4. The update is rolling via OTA and you will be getting the OTA anytime soon. The not only brings June 2018 Security Patch but also fixes the under the hood bugs and improve some stability improvements.

Never consider these security updates as minor ones because these updates are meant to address the security lapse in the device and protect it from Malware and Virus. At the moment while we are writing this post, the security update for Moto G6 Plus is already live, one more thing let us tell you, don’t expect anything more from this update as it will never increment the OS from Android 8.0 Oreo to Android 8.1, however it should be. Just follow the steps below to download and install June 2018 OPWS27.113-45-4 update on Moto G6 Plus.

Currently the update is rolling out via OTA so we recommend you to get it on your device via manually check for the OTA.
- Tap the Settings icon in the apps drawer.
- In the Setting menu, head to the “About phone” section.
- Now select tap on “System updates” and check for the available system updates.
- Tap on Download if it notifies you of the update, and let it install automatically.
