Honor Magic 2 update released with Magic UI 2.0 and November security patch

Huawei’s sub brand Honor released it’s 2018 flagship Honor Magic 2 last month. The device comes with a sliding mechanism to achieve 84.6% screen to body ratio, the device comes out of box running EMUI 9.0 but the company already announced to release a system update with redesigned UI and improvements.

Now it seems today is the day, Honor Magic 2 units started receiving a new system update carrying build number 9.0.0.128 (C00E129R1P18), the update brings an upgrade to Magic UI 2.0 from EMUI 9.0. Upon installing the update you’ll not notice any major changes in the UI, this is because the company will made changes gradually via other system updates.

The Magic UI 2.0 comes with November 2018 security patches and mainly focus on the AI based features, with new fonts, color scheme and labels. Other unique features on the Honor Magic 2 include AI capabilities, YoYo smart assistant and real time in voice translation. The update is live via OTA, if you are getting impatient to see the 9.0.0.128 (C00E129R1P18) OTA on your device just head to settings > about device > firmware updates.
