July 2018 OTA rolling out to Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra

Sony mobile is rolling out a new system update for it’s Xperia XA2 family. The new update brings July 2018 security patch for Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra. Arriving as build 50.1.A.10.51 if you own any of the above mentioned devices then you will be getting the OTA anytime soon.

The July 2018 patch for Xperia devices is rolling out via OTA but if you are already running Android 8.0 Oreo based 50.1.A.10.40 update then you are eligible for the new update. We have posted the screenshots of the update and extracted information from it. See the firmware details below.

Download 50.1.A.10.51 FTF July 2018 OTA for Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra

Currently the update is rolling out via OTA so we recommend you to get it on your device via manually check for the OTA.

Tap the Settings icon in the apps drawer.

In the Setting menu, head to the “About phone” section.

Now select tap on “System updates” and check for the available system updates.

Tap on Download if it notifies you of the update, and let it install automatically.

Note: If you get OTA update right on your device, then before installing the update it is mandatory to charge your device minimum at 60% to avoid shut down. Good Luck
