LG has started rolling out Android 12 update for LG V50 ThinQ units on Verizon carrier in the US. The firmware was expected to be released in April along side LG V60 ThinQ but it seems some technical delay. Well, it’s commendable to see such updates even after the company almost out of the smartphone market. The update is rolling out at the time we are writing this post. Talking about the firmware, the stock Android 12 update for LG V50 ThinQ is available to download as a complete build, further comes with June 2022 security patch and goodies of Android 12.

This is a stable Android 12 build which is rolling out for all devices around the Globe, the update brings system wide improved dark interface, better privacy control, new Gesture Navigation, rounded interface, Adaptive Battery and Brightness, app actions based on the current context, redesigned volume adjust settings and a lot more. As it is a major jump from Android 11 to Android 12, the update weighs around 1.8 GB in size. Currently the update is rolling out via OTA so we recommend you to get it on your device via manually check for the OTA.
Tap the Settings icon in the apps drawer.
In the Setting menu, head to the “About phone” section.
Now select tap on “System updates” and check for the available system updates.
Tap on Download if it notifies you of the update, and let it install automatically.
Note: If you get OTA update right on your device, then before installing the update it is mandatory to charge your device minimum at 60% to avoid shut down.

The update is available to flash via LG UP, just get the update from the link below and flash it using LG UP.
