LG has started rolling out Android 12 update for LG V60 ThinQ units on T-Mobile carrier in the US. The firmware was first reported by multiple users on Reddit, and few leaked screenshots follow the story. Just a few weeks back LG Velvet got the update and now this another device is joining the same party. What’s so surprising is that, this device was not listed in the Android 12 eligible devices, but LG has pushed it anyways. The update is rolling out at the time we are writing this post. Talking about the firmware, the stock Android 12 update for LG V60 ThinQ is available to download as build SKQ1.211103.001,further comes with March 2022 security patch and goodies of Android 12.

This is a stable Android 12 build which is rolling out for all devices around the Globe, the update brings system wide improved dark interface, better privacy control, new Gesture Navigation, rounded interface, Adaptive Battery and Brightness, app actions based on the current context, redesigned volume adjust settings and a lot more. As it is a major jump from Android 11 to Android 12, the update weighs around 2.5 GB in size. Process to install Android 12 update on LG devices via OTA
Currently the update is rolling out via OTA so we recommend you to get it on your device via manually check for the OTA.
Tap the Settings icon in the apps drawer.
In the Setting menu, head to the “About phone” section.
Now select tap on “System updates” and check for the available system updates.
Tap on Download if it notifies you of the update, and let it install automatically.
Note: If you get OTA update right on your device, then before installing the update it is mandatory to charge your device minimum at 60% to avoid shut down.
Process to install manually Android 12 update on LG V60 ThinQ via LG UP
The update is available to flash via LG UP, just get the update from the link below and flash it using LG UP.
Download LG UP tools from USB Driver page.
