Nokia 8.1 a.k.a Nokia X7 in the Chinese market is now getting the April 2019 security patch from Nokia. The update weighs in around 238MB and bumps the firmware version to v2.59E. Based on Android Pie the update is rolling out in India and Poland at the moment but it will be available for other regions later. The update is rolling out now at the time of writing, you can download the V2.59E OTA directory and install it manually on your phone but that’s the matter of time until we get our hands on the firmware file. One more thing don’t get impatient to get the OTA right away on your device because depending upon regional delays the update’ll take some days to reach all users.
If you are already running previous firmware, head to Settings > About phone > system updates. Check for the new updates if available, non beta users must check via same method.
Flash it manually through recovery.
