Realme devices are going to see ColorOS 5.2 this week, starting from Realme 1

Oppo’s sub brand Realme has just announced to release a firmware upgrade for it’s devices that will upgrade it’s ColorOS skin at top of Android OS from ColorOS 5.0 to Color OS 5.2. Both Oppo and Realme devices run Android OS with their own customized skin called ‘ColorOS’ on the top of it, Realme 1 is the first devices released by this new brand that comes with Android Oreo based ColorOS 5.0 out of the box.

Oppo Realme 1 ColorOS 5.2 update:

Just like Samsung’s experience UI and Huawei’s MIUI OS, ColorOS is also getting it’s first upgrade by the company. In the first phase Realme 1 is going to receive ColorOS 5.2 by November 16th, bringing fixes for developer options flashing, single-swipe notification dismiss and others, stable release scheduled for November 25 while Realme 2 and Realme C1 will be receiving the update later. The update is expected to bring latest security patches with minor bug fixes in the firmware as well.

Android Pie for Realme 1 date:

As of now ColorOS 5.2 only brings a skin upgrade with a few tweaks in the firmware but Oppo has already announced to release Android Pie update for Realme 1 in Q1 2019. We expect the company will keep it promise regarding firmware updates because it hasn’t a big list of devices to work on.

Stay tuned for more updates!
