Finally after so much anticipation, Sony’s flagship, Xperia 10 III started receiving Android 13 update from it’s Japanese manufacturer. Sony delivered the same update for Xperia 10 IV a few week back and now it’s the time for the Xperia 10 III owners to enjoy the features of Android 13 on their devices. The firmware was first reported by a user on Reddit, and now it’s finally here. The update has landed in the European region and will be available for more wide spectrum sequentially. Other OEM’s have mostly delivered the update for their devices earlier then expected, others are receiving it now. The Android 13 update for Xperia 10 III is rolling out at the time we are writing this post. Talking about the firmware, the stock Android 13 update for Xperia 10 III can downloaded as build 62.2.A.0.367 further comes with January 2023 security patch and goodies of Android 13.

This is a stable Android 13 build which is rolling out for all devices around the Globe, the update brings system wide improved dark interface, better privacy control, new Gesture Navigation, rounded interface, Adaptive Battery and Brightness, app actions based on the current context, redesigned volume adjust settings and a lot more. As it is a major jump from Android 12 to Android 13, the update weighs around 2.5 GB in size. Before you begin the installation process, your phone’s battery should be charged up to 60% minimum.
Create a safe backup of your data.
Process to install Android 13 update on Xperia 10 III via OTA
Currently the update is rolling out via OTA so we recommend you to get it on your device via manually check for the OTA.
Tap the Settings icon in the apps drawer.
In the Setting menu, head to the “About phone” section.
Now select tap on “System updates” and check for the available system updates.
Tap on Download if it notifies you of the update, and let it install automatically.
Note: If you get OTA update right on your device, then before installing the update it is mandatory to charge your device minimum at 60% to avoid shut down.
