Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro 2016 SM-A910F gets Oreo update in Vietnam

Samsung is on the full fledged roll out and delivering Oreo update to the awaiting devices at it’s full pace. Just a few months back, Samsung announced to release the Oreo update for it’s 2016 devices in December 2018, but today the Galaxy A9 Pro 2016 units in Vietnam started receiving the Android 8.0 Oreo update silently via OTA. The new update appears on the devices as A910FXXU1CRIA and weighs in around 2.09GB in size. The update comes with Experience UI 9.0 on the top of stock Android UI and bunch of new features.

The update has currently landed in Vietnam but soon other regions will be getting the OTA from a few days to weeks. If you own a Galaxy A9 Pro 2016 SM-A910F and running Android Nougat on board then head to settings > About device section and check for the firmware update manually. We will post a complete tutorial to install the stock Oreo firmware on Galaxy A9 Pro as soon as we get our hands on the firmware file.

It’s worth mentioning that the update brings goodies of Android Oreo OS, such as Picture in Picture mode, improvements in battery backup on your device with integrated Doze mode. Other new features include, revamped settings menu, keyboard navigation, battery connectivity control, Adaptive icons. Oreo OS give you grip to handle the background apps and processes to reduce battery consumption.
