Taiwanese manufacturer HTC started rolling out Android 9.0 Pie update for it’s HTC U11 Life (Android One) device. Back in August 2018, Google rolled out the stable version of Android Pie for it’s Pixel units, now three months after stable Pie roll out multiple OEM’s are updating their devices with the latest 9th iteration of Android.
HTC U11 stock Pie update is a stable build which is now rolling out for the HTC U11 Life units all around the globe. It is needless to mentioned that the update comes with goodies of Android Pie and with latest security patches for the month of October 2018. Talking about the HTC, the company is not in the best position right now, but still it manages to beat some of the very big brands in releasing quick Pie update for it’s HTC U11 Life.
HTC U12 beings the company’s flagship hasn’t receive the update but HTC U11 Life lies under the umbrella of Android One so it tends of receive quicker updates. A few months back HTC announced to release Android Pie update for HTC U11, HTC U11+, HTC U11 Life and the HTC U12+ but didn’t mentioned the details when we should expect the latest update.
Many users were expecting to see Pie update on HTC U12 first but as we mentioned above, Android One devices are meant to receive quicker updates so that has let us to today. The arrival of today’s update also opens the gates for the rest of HTC devices including U11, U11+, and U12+ so we are expecting Pie released to happen for these device anytime soon.
