Android Pie 50.2.A.0.352 update for Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra is now available

When it comes to firmware updates Japanese manufacturer Sony Mobile is always quicker to join the party. Earlier today, Sony has started rolling out Android 9.0 Pie update for Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra. The stock Pie update arrives as build 50.2.A.0.352, the same update carrying build 50.2.A.0.342 already released for the devices in Russia. But we have heard reports of Android Pie installation results in bricking some devices.

Now the stable build is out, if you are already running Oreo firmware then you will be getting the new update carrying Android Pie sweetness along March 2019 security patch on the Xperia XA2 twins. This is a stable Pie build which is rolling out for all devices around the Globe, the update brings goodies of Android Pie update including new Gesture Navigation, Adaptive Battery and Brightness, app actions based on the current context, Dark Mode, redesigned volume adjust settings and a lot more. Other goodies includes addition of Full HD 960fps slow-motion video in the camera app. As it is a major jump from Oreo to Pie, the update weighs around 1GB in size.
