Samsung is already seeding Android Pie beta program for it’s 2017 flagships twins Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. We have already posted tutorials for the users registered with Android Pie beta program. While on the other side, the users on Android Oreo have started getting January 2019 security patch on International variants of Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. The January 2019 patch for Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus is rolling out in the EMEA as we are writing this post, the update is available to download as build G950FXXS4CRLB for Galaxy S8 SM-G950F while Galaxy S8 Plus SM-G955F gets the update as build G955FXXS4CRLB.
It’s a minor update that only brings, updated security patches, stability improvements and Samsung specific security fixes as well. We have posted below three working methods including OTA, Kies and Odin to install the update right away on your device. Just keep reading the instructions to flash the firmware right away.

Here are all the three methods mentioned below, just keep reading each one you find good for you.
OTA method:
The first thing we recommend you is the process to download the January 2019 Security Patch on Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus via OTA. For this you need to go to;
Settings > About device > System updates.
Connect your device to working data connection or WiFi connection and check for the new system updates. Let the device connect to the Samsung servers for new update, it will notify you about the update whether it is available or not. Is the response is positive just download the update and start installing it.
Samsung Kies:
If the OTA method doesn’t help you just try the update via Samsung Kies, here is the detailed process to update your device via Samsung Kies.
First You need to download Samsung Kies application. Download Kies
Install the application on your PC and open it.
Connect your device to PC and wait for the Kies app to detect your device.
Now it’s essential to make a backup of your device by clicking on Backup and Restore tab in the Kies screen.
Once the backup process is done, just click firmware upgrade to start the update process.
Odin method:
If none of the above methods worked for you then follow instruction over here to install the firmware manually via Odin. But first check for the firmware file if available.
