Finally it seems that Optus carrier in Australia has started dropping Android Pie update for Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus units on it’s network. Android Pie OTA is now live at the time we are writing this guide, the update is available to download as build G960FXXU2CSA1 for Galaxy S9 SM-G950F while Galaxy S9 Plus G965F gets the update as build G965FXXU2CSA1.
The stable Pie update is rolling out for all S9 and S9 Plus users running Android Oreo firmware or still on beta. TheG960FXXU2CSA1/G965FXXU2CSA1 update comes with January 2019 security patch along big visual changes for the One’s upgrading from Oreo to Pie firmware, the users on Pie beta might not see big changes instead getting a stable firmware on their devices. Talking about the Samsung’s One UI, the Korean Tech giant introduced this re-branded UI with main focus on the convenience of one-handed usage. According to the change log, the Android One UI comes with reorganized content, settings and other information to keep you focused on the task in hand. Interactive element have been moved to bottom so that they become easily accessible for one handed usage.
The firmware on Samsung device is mostly updated manually via Odin or Kies, if you are already a beta tester and registered with the Samsung Beta Program head to Settings > About device > System updates. If the OTA automatically doesn’t knock at your device.
How to install Android Pie CSA1 update on Galaxy S9/S9 Plus
Update via Kies:
This is just another possible way to download the firmware without extra effort.
First You need to download Samsung Kies application. Download Kies
Install the application on your PC and Open it.
Connect your device to PC and wait for the Kies app to detect your device.
Now it’s essential to make a backup of your device by clicking on Backup and Restore tab in the Kies screen.
Once the backup process is done, just click firmware upgrade to start the update process.

Download the firmware from the link below and extract it in a separate folder and then follow these instructions to install the firmware manually via Odin
