Steps to install the V9.6.1.0.OADCNFD update on Xiaomi Mi Note 2 via recovery

Make sure your device is already running the previous MIUI 9 OS.

Grab the MIUI 9.6.1.0 Recovery ROM for your device and copy it on the internal storage of your device.

Now you need to launch the ‘Updater‘ app on your device.

Now at the top right corner click on the three-dot menu ‘…’ icon and select the ‘choose update package’.

Download Xiaomi Mi A1 MIUI 9.6.1.0 Oreo update. [fastboot ROM]
